  1. Hey Justinn!
An aspect of your Autobiography that I really enjoyed was the way it flowed. You did yours differently than the others we have listened to by choosing technological devices that brought you through your childhood. For example, you took educational TV shows to competitive videogames. Then you took three-way-calling to your very own cellphone. I think that showed progression not only in technology but the way you grew up.

Your speed and inflection in your piece was very good. You speak like you're telling a story to a friend and it makes the piece more inviting.

As for editing, I would suggest trying to keep the phrases all together on one take -- just keep the recording going as you try many different readings of the same sentence. When editing, one is bound to sound good and all you have to do is delete the bad ones around it! (And that way you'll have everything recorded with the same background)

  2. Hi Justinn! Let's get right to it, eh?

Your autobiography was a pleasure to listen to, despite a few technological glitches. Your hosting website had me jumping through some funky loops, but eventually I was able to listen to it and enjoy. I'll second Kate's thought that next time you should try to keep the recording going throughout for background continuity.

I feel similar about the note that you ended your autobiography on. My laptop is definitely my little "black box" and if you hadn't phrased it as "the largest consumer of your spare time" I wouldn't have thought of it as a device like that. It literally does consume my time and I find hours eaten away just surfing the net instead of, oh, doing homework or reading a book.

Although I really enjoyed the autobiography as a whole story, I would have liked to hear more about a single aspect or example. I know that it's a pain to do in under three minutes though.

That's about it! If you have any questions, I'm just a click away.
